
CrossFit Games 2021 is nearing and many participants are excited. Along with the usual CrossFit Games competitions like those for men, there will also be events for women. Women are competing
The women's competition at the 2021 Crossfit Games began this morning with the swim event. Jonne and Tia Claire Toomey-Orr won the first competition. After maintaining her lead throughout competition, Koski was declared the overall winner. Tall and Eramoo Connell were second and third, each. It was the first Games for women, and the women's side hoped to complete the podium.
The field is full of top-level athletes in the women's competition. The field comprises nine athletes, one of whom is a teenager who won the competition in Australia last summer. Other contenders are Australian athlete Kara Saunders, who finished second in Australia and eleventh worldwide in 2020. Andrea Nisler, a rising star who competed for the team division in 2018, finished third in America and fifteenth overall in 2020. Aside from these athletes, the Women’s competition will also include a newcomer, Sara Sigmundsdottir, an Icelandan competitor, who won first place at the World Crossfit Games earlier.
Pegboard contest
Pegboard at Crossfit Games 2020 was a first. It was also added to the Games' Olympic summer program. Toomey-Orr won 30 of the Games' most events, setting a new record. Sager won Event 11 (for men) and was awarded his third Games win. There were several ties in the contest, but Toomey-Orr's dominance was not enough to keep him out of the win.

CrossFit Games is a training program that focuses on 10 general fitness skills. These include strength, flexibility, power and speed as well as cardiovascular endurance. Competitors are tested on their grip strength and coordination in the Pegboard contest. Two wooden pegs are held between the hands of each competitor to gauge their grip strength. The Pegboard was a fierce competition that left the athletes feeling proud of their accomplishments.
System of cutting
CrossFit Games will use a cutting system again for individual competitions. The cuts are not as severe as those used in past Games but they are still very different. It consists of 15 events so 30 athletes could be reduced after the seventh and eighth events. Another question remains: how will CrossFit adjust the points spread following cuts? The scoring table used during the 2019 games was almost identical to that used in 2021. It is likely that this will continue.
This year's field consists of 236 athletes, making it the largest in the history of the CrossFit Games. Major cuts occur in the first six events. The field is reduced to 75 athletes. To determine the top ten, the top 30 athletes compete in a sprint tandem. The top 20 athletes then compete in six more events. Castro's system was criticised by veteran Games participants, who felt that the cuts were too significant.
Reebok's equipment
Reebok announced new CrossFit Games footwear, clothing and other equipment. The Nano X1 are the new shoes. They are built to accommodate multiple fitness needs. Reebok claims this shoe is "the shoe that will fit all your fitness needs," but it's more like a regular training shoe. DuPont's Kevlar, which promotes durability, breathability, and strength, is the shoe's upper. The shoes are responsive thanks to the firm midsole and RopePro technology.

CrossFit's agreement with Reebok will end at 2020. No title sponsor will be available for the Games. The Games have been sponsored by Reebok for over a decade, and it's now clear that the company's involvement will be decreasing. Reebok will no longer sponsor the Games' prize money, but it will continue to manufacture all the athletic apparel and equipment used by athletes, including the Reebok gear. The company will no longer call itself the "Reebok CrossFit Game", as it currently does.
