USF Fitness Group Classes and Group Training

Group fitness is a great way to stay in shape and meet new people. USF Recreation & Wellness offers group fitness classes free of charge on campus. There are many classes available, from Total Body Fitness to Yoga. They are all nationally certified and will give a challenging yet rewarding workout to all levels of fitness. You can find a class to suit your needs, whether you're newbie or an expert.

The gym will remain open to the public. Group Fitness classes via Microsoft Teams will be available online. The schedule and other pertinent information will be posted here. You don't need to reserve a spot in advance for any Group Fitness class. You can register for a class online or at a kiosk in the Campus Recreation Center lobby. Participants who sign up for more than one class may register as "Standbys" up until five minutes before classes begin. If they misrepresent their personal data, those who don't sign-up will receive a refund.


There are many classes offered at Campus Recreation. Some classes are held at the Campus Recreation Center and the WELL Fitness Center. Some are streamed using Microsoft Teams, so participants don’t have to travel anywhere to attend the class. Although in-person classes can be attended by all students, they may not be available for everyone. If the group needs to meet in the WELL fitness center or somewhere private, they may opt for a separate location.

Group Fitness offers another feature, the Group Cycle. This class is an indoor cycling class that challenges riders to increase their speed and endurance. Its MyWellness App makes it easy to track your cardio workouts. Cycle Concert Series is a way for patrons to enjoy their favorite musicians live. Every week, a new artist features.
